Radiology
At AnRus Veterinary Clinic in Freeburg, IL, we are proud to offer our patients digital
radiology (X-rays), which is a diagnostic tool that allows us to image bones and organs of our
patients in a non-invasive way. With radiology, we are able to assess bones for fractures and
dislocations, screen for organ enlargement and masses within the chest or abdomen,
monitor heart disease, assist breeders with evaluating orthopedic soundness and
evaluate the number of puppies a dog is carrying, as well as screen for many other
abnormalities, such as bladder stones or foreign bodies.
Because we use digital technology, we get the same high-quality images that our human counterparts do, and we often choose to send the images for consultation with veterinary radiologists and internal medicine experts across the country for difficult cases or second opinions. (Additional fees apply for consultations.) The use of radiology is safe, and our staff are appropriately trained to get images with both minimal discomfort and minimal X-ray exposure to your pet. If you are interested in our radiology services for your pet, please give us a call for more information.
